Tien Shian Ski Weekend

Pack your winter gear! We are heading to the Kyrgyzstan's biggest ski resort of Karakol for a cheeky ski weekend! Leaving Thursday night and back early morning on Monday you will only need to take one day off to spend 2 days skiing in Central Asia's highest ski resort.  

Starting at an elevation of 2300m the Karakol ski resort extends to up to 3450m in the Tien Shan Mountains. It has approximately 20km of groomed runs as well as plenty of off piste skiing.  We will be staying in the Hotel Kapriz, adjacent to the lifts. https://www.kapriz.kg/en/karakol.html#services The hotel is slope side (ski in / ski out), very comfortable and comes with a spa, restaurants, bars and bowling alley to keep us occupied when not sliding about outside.  

Itinerary:  

Thursday 03rd  

-meet at Dubai Airport 19:30 for Group Checkin. 

-Fly to Bishkek with Fly Dubai departing 22:40  

Friday 04th  

- Arrive Bishkek at 04:40am. -

-After clearing the airport we will proceed to Bishkek where we will have breakfast and take our PCR tests for the return flight. 

- We will then head to Karakol by minibus (6 hours) with a stop at lake Issy Kul for lunch and a chance to view the lake. 

-We will arrive at the hotel around 4pm for checkin -Collect ski equipment, relax or make use of the hotel facilities 

-Evening - enjoy food and drinks together in the hotel and make use of the hotel facilities  

Saturday 05th  

- Breakfast in the hotel 

- Skiing from 9am-4pm (lunch either back at the hotel or on the mountain) 

- Evening food and Après 

- Option to visit local hot springs  

Sunday 06th  

- Breakfast in the hotel 

- Skiing from 9am-4pm (lunch either back at the hotel or on the mountain) 

- 5pm checkout of hotel - Evening meal in Karakol 

- 9pm Minibus to Bishkek where we will try to get some sleep 

- bring a travel pillow!  

Monday 07th  

-03:00 Group Checkin 

-05:55 fly to Dubai 

-08:40 Arrive Dubai and head to work! -Caffeine recommended!  

Price: 3500 AED - based on 2 sharing (If you do not have someone to share you will be paired with someone of the same gender. If you prefer to have a room to yourself the single supplement is 800 AED)

Equipment can be rented from the hotel for approximately 800 som per day (c. 35 AED)

IMPORTANT: A negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure is required for entry in to Kyrgyzstan.  Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance including winter sports cover.
