Cervinia Season Opener

For those of you itching to do some proper skiing or boarding and cannot wait until 2023 this is the trip for you! You can maximise the benefit of the UAE National Day holidays, escape the desert and get 7 nights and 6 days' of skiing in the Alps!

We will be taking a trip to Cervinia in the Aosta Valley of Italy and skiing in both Italy and Switzerland! The ski area envelopes one of the most iconic mountains in the alps - the mighty Matterhorn - or as it is known in Italy, Monte Cervino. If you have never heard of this mountain I bet you have seen it..... on that last Toblerone you ate! It is the mountain in the picture and has a distinctive shark-tooth shape, especially when viewed from the Swiss side.

-----RESORT----- So why are we going here I hear you ask? Well good question.... The first week of December is early for the Alpine ski season so one of the big uncertainties is "Will there be any snow?" Cervinia (https://tinyurl.com/y7t6xoux) is one of the highest and most snow-sure resorts in the Alps and can be skied even in the summer on the glacier. For the last 2 years there has been plenty of snow on both the Italian and Swiss side early in December.

Italy is also a paradise for intermediate skiers as the Italians are fanatical about their grooming (I'm talking about the snow but they do also tend to be pretty well presented). For those of you with more experience of skiing in France or Switzerland you will also be amazed by the very reasonable prices of good-quality food and beverages available on the mountain.

-----ACCOMODATION----- We will be staying in a charming, family-run Hotel Furggen (https://tinyurl.com/y7mu42yu) that is adjacent to the piste and is ski-in / ski-out. The hotel also offer a free on-demand shuttle service in to town or it's a 15 minute walk.

Rooms are twin / doubles. If you are travelling alone and don't want to pay the single supplement I will arrange an appropriate room pairing with someone of similar gender.

• Meet at Dubai Airport 06:30
• Depart DXB 09:05
• Arrive Milan Malpensa 13:10
• Minibus (2.5 hrs) to Cervinia
• Arrive Cervinia by 5pm - check in to hotel
• Visit ski shops if required
• Dinner in Cervinia

Sun 27th - Fri 2nd Inclusive

• Mornings - Breakfast in Hotel
• Ski until around 4pm
• Lunches - on mountain or back in town
• Evenings - Dinner and relax in Cervinia
